Senn Momentum 3
The Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless headset is a high-end, premium noise cancelling headset is available at an elevated price-point. Sennheiser uses its expertise in audio engineering and design to make the Momentum 3 wireless stand out among the many active noise cancelling headphones (ANC).
Are Sennheiser Good Headphones?
Sennheiser headphones are one of only a few audio monoliths. It can prove difficult to choose among the wide variety of headsets. Sennheiser headphones, despite not having the most glamorous models names, are reliable and perform better than their price bracket when compared.
How do You Put Momentum 3 in Pairing Mode?
When you hold down on the power button, a voice prompt appears. The indicator will display a red and blue LED. Place the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless headset on. Hold the right and left touch control buttons simultaneously for five seconds. You will hear the voice prompt “Pairing” as well as a beep.
The Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless can be connected via NFC (Bluetooth 5.0) or the standard Bluetooth pairing process. You can enable NFC in your phone’s Settings and place the MOMENTUM 3 Wireless near the right earpiece. You will see a pop-up on your phone that confirms the successful pairing.
Three high-quality Bluetooth codecs are available once you’re connected: AAC and aptX. AAC’s performance is currently questionable on Android devices. It streams flawlessly on iPhones.
Android users can stream their favorite songs over either the aptX or WAV codecs. The included 3.5mm jack cable will provide the best quality audio. This is far superior to Bluetooth.
Unfortunately, the included cable doesn’t include a remote module or mic. You can purchase third-party cables for around twelve dollars that provide an inline mic and remote compatible with iOS devices.
Are the Momentum 3 worth it?
Bluetooth 5.0 firmware is used to provide excellent connection quality. It also supports a wide range of high-quality Bluetooth codec support. Momentum Wireless 3 may be the perfect choice for you if you are looking for a stylish pair of headphones without the high price tag.
Does Momentum 3 have a mic?
Yes. The microphone amplifies voices and can cause clipping or the presence of fricatives, plosives and other undesirable effects. The mic isn’t bad, but the person on the other end will notice that you’re using a headset microphone. People may find it difficult to understand your low voice and comment on how you sound hollow. This is due to the high-end attenuation.
Sennheiser included a microphone in each earbud, for noise cancellation. A beamforming microphone is also located in each earbud to pick-up your voice when you make calls or use your voice assistant.
Does Momentum 3 have ANC?
Sennheiser shows that you can combine great sound with active noise cancelling (ANC), but for a very affordable price.
Are Sennheiser Momentum noise cancelling?
Noise cancellation is excellent. The technology filters out certain midrange frequencies. While the dense ear pads, properly fitted ear cups and dense earpads almost completely eliminate high-frequency noises. However, the low-end attenuation doesn’t compare well to other top-quality products.
Effective noise cancellation has other benefits than just quietening the environment. Good ANC can prevent noise-induced loss. When external noise is reduced, it’s less likely that we will increase the volume to an eardrum-smashing level. You can justify spending a lot of money on noise cancellers by preventing hearing loss.
Where are Sennheiser Momentum made?
The charging cases for true wireless earbuds have become small enough to fit in a pocket or on a boat. Sennheiser is clearly not feeling the pressure. The True Wireless 3’s charging box is substantial, still easily pocketable, but larger than many we have seen in the last twelve months.
This case is substantial. The fabric-wrapped cover feels sturdy and can be flipped open and closed easily. It’s not at all fragile. Sennheiser has not made any compromises in this area to get a lower price.
It’s not the same Sennheiser design, but it’s not completely different. The German brand has abandoned the spherical earpieces from its previous Momentum True Wireless models and has adopted a more oval shape for its midrange CX series, which it actually adopted since 2020. These earpieces feel and look less expensive than the round ones of their predecessor, although they do appear more discreet in your ears.
The width of the housings will affect whether they sit flush against your ear. If your ears are shallow, it will be a matter of personal preference. To ensure a snug fit, the tiny rubber lip that protrudes slightly from the housing helps to nestle them in your ear cartilage.
This isn’t as obvious and therefore less effective than the ‘wing tip’ that comes with dedicated wireless sports earbuds. However, they are still splash-proof IPX4 so they won’t be the first choice for gym companions.

What is Sennheiser updater?
The Sennheiser Updater makes it easy to update your Sennheiser products with the latest software version.
Sennheiser Updater will allow the user to update their product to the latest software version via Sennheiser’s software download server.
Why won’t my Sennheiser Momentum connect?
You may be outside the Bluetooth transmission range. Wireless streaming and calling are only possible within the Bluetooth transmission range of your smartphone. The environment, including wall thickness and wall composition, affects the range of transmission. The transmission range of most smartphones is 10 meters with a free line-of-sight.
When you and your headphones leave the Bluetooth transmission area of the smartphone’s smartphone, the quality of the sound becomes increasingly poor until you hear the prompt “Lost connection”, and the connection will eventually break down completely. You can re-establish the connection by entering the Bluetooth transmission range again immediately.

Does Senn Momentum 3 work with PlayStation 4 or 5
No. PlayStation consoles don’t support Bluetooth audio for third-party devices.
How long does the Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless battery last?
The battery life should last just over 13 hours with noise cancelling enabled. This means your battery should last you for close to a week, including commuting and casual use.
If you listen to music at a volume lower than 75dB(SPL), which is likely, the battery should last approximately 17 hours per Sennheiser. You can quickly charge your headset using the USB-C cable provided.
In just 10 minutes, you can get 90 minutes of listening. This is a major plus since ANC headsets are not always compatible with fast charging.
The Smart Control app allows you to check how long the battery is remaining. You can also hold down the multifunction button for two seconds.
